Who We Are
Advanced Metalworking Practices specializes in the production and supply of superior quality metal injection molding (MIM) feedstock, and provides associated services to our customers in the MIM and related industries throughout the US and the world.
At AMP, we take great pride in the level of service we provide to our customers and in the quality of our products. We start with top-quality raw materials and give close attention to every detail in the manufacturing and quality assurance stages of production.
AMP manufactures both ready-to-use MIM feedstock, as well as feedstock customized with our customers’ project needs and specifications. We produce stainless steel, low alloy steel, soft magnetic, and customized feedstock with our proprietary binder systems, ADVAMET® wax-based and ADVACAT® POM-based. Our MIM feedstock is ideally suited for complex parts used in medical, automotive, firearms and industrial applications. AMP also offers ADVARENEW feedstock rejuvenation and ADVATOLL toll processing services.
AMP has a 15,000 sq. ft. state of the art production and testing facility in Carmel, Indiana.
AMP is ISO 9001:2015 certified and a member of the Metal Injection Molding Association (MIMA) and of the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF).

Where We Came From
Advanced Metalworking Practices, LLC, (AMP) was founded in 1984 BY Dr. Kishor M. Kulkarni, who saw an opportunity to create feedstock for the relatively new area of metal injection molding (MIM) technology. In 1988, after the development of much proprietary technology in the formulation of MIM feedstocks, AMP started commercial production of high quality, ready-to-use feedstock. Since then, AMP has been committed to innovation, growth, and constant improvement. We continually invest in the upgrading of our technology, facilities and equipment, as well as in the recruitment and training of well-qualified staff – with the ultimate goal of providing our customers with superior materials and services.
